BUSINESS RULES

The Business rules describes the policies, norms, operations, definitions and restrictions of an organization, which are very important to meet the objectives.

The organizations work following many explicit or tacit business rules, embedded in processes, computing applications, documents, etc. They can be in some people's mind or in the source code of computing programmes.

In recent years a tendency of managing systematically business rules, so that it is easy to consult, understand, use and change them, has been observed. A business rules engine can be used for that purpose. The business rules engine is a system that is configured for the business needs through the definition of objects and business rules, the software is run by flows deriving responsibilities to the different positions of the company to distribute the work equally, indicating when and where the task must be fulfilled and who must fulfil.
