One of the sides of the energy efficiency is linked to the buildings, either retail, industry or business ones. The adequate setting of parameters of the electric devices present in a system can suppose a notable energy saving, and contributes to a responsible consumption of resources. The technology of data analysis and data mining applied to dimensions measured by the own devices along the time makes it possible to get recommendations to optimize the consumption without any lose of comfort.
You can take actions in three levels:
Component level: the objective is to detect devices that do not work correctly, as well as establish the optimum levels of consumption
System level: it is centred in the detection of components having insufficient or over-sized capacities and in the identification of inadequate operation sequences and the overcharge detection
Global analysis level: in this case, energy profiles are prepared regularly for each one of the components of the system in all the levels. In this way, it is possible to carry out a monitoring to check the effectiveness of the recommendations or control actions
The strategies applied in the energy efficiency are:
Systems based in rules: a group of standards or anomalous sequences in the data collected by the devices are identified
Automatic clustering: by using characteristic algorithms of data mining and, in particular, clustering, it is possible to identify similar systems according to your equipment and consumption standards, which could be managed together
Modelling and simulation: for the estimation of the economic impact of actions or recommendations
